For some historical reasons Red Hat's Samba packages for RHEL follow a completely different internal structure than those provided here for SLES. We decided to change the structure of packages provided by our own. Like for Novell's plattforms FTP.SerNet.DE has standard packages for RHEL3 as well as individual packages designed for special customer's needs on request.
SerNet provides repo-md repositories for RedHat which makes the packages available as an online installation source. A short explanation how to add SerNet's Samba packages to the list of Yum's online installations sources exists here.
